On this day, we were priveledged to visit the headquarters of Canadian Sport-Fishing and meet its President and TV show host Italo Labignan and members of his fine staff. Our main purpose was to introduce the innovative fishing tackle lines of the Tasmanian Devil Lures from Australia and the ZWing Downriggers from the U.S. We looked forward to frank, open discussions on the Canadian potential for these fishing products. Second to that, we could hardly control our excitement to finally meet Italo Labignan, a fisherman/sportsman that we respect and have enjoyed watching on TV for close to twenty years.

We enjoyed a lengthy meeting with Italo Labignan and Paul Lord, marketing director for Canadian-Sport Fishing. Our meeting lasted a better part of the day, and the reception was outstanding. Our discussions included helpful insights and advice as how to better market these fine fishing tackle lines in Canada. We discussed various regions of Canada that these fishing products would nicely fit in to, as well as ways that Canadian Sport-Fishing could help us to get exposure and attention to these lines. We also had the pleasure of meeting most of the Canadian Sport-Fishing staff at their headquarters in Waterdown, Ontario

The subsequent discussion proved to be invaluable to us at MyFishingStore.com, and we were lucky enough to get invited to go fishing with both Italo Labignan and Paul Lord to test the Tasmanian Devil Lures. On Thursday we planned to meet up with Italo, and his friend and guide, Aldo Nava of Niagara Fishing Adventures. The plan was to go down and fish the mighty Niagara River at the base of scenic Niagara Falls! What an opportunity, not only to go fishing with Italo and Aldo, but to fish the base of Niagara Falls, where only Aldo has permission to take people fishing.
